KFin Technologies, better known as KFintech, has reported a strong second quarter. The KFintech Q2 results, declared on 26 October 2026 for the quarter ended 30 September 2026, show revenue up almost 30% year on year, powered by fast-growing international business and a steady stream of new client wins. At the same time, the company’s new anti-money laundering platform, InPro, is moving beyond its first market, giving investors a second growth story to watch.
KFintech Q2 results at a glance
Revenue from operations reached ₹4,018 million in Q2 FY27, up 29.9% from ₹3,092.3 million a year earlier. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 18.7% to ₹1,610.3 million, a margin of 40.1%. Profit after tax (PAT) grew more slowly, up 7.5% to ₹1,003.4 million, with diluted earnings per share of ₹5.78.
For the first half of FY27, revenue totalled ₹7,583.3 million, up 30.0% year on year, while PAT rose 2.9% to ₹1,755.6 million. Cash and cash equivalents stood at ₹5,508.6 million at the end of September.
The gap between revenue growth and profit growth is worth noting. Margins narrowed as the company absorbed its overseas acquisition, Ascent Fund Services: EBITDA margin excluding Ascent was 45.8%, against 40.1% including it. KFin Technologies is India’s largest investor solutions provider to mutual funds and its largest issuer solutions provider by number of clients serviced, so scale is on its side as it integrates the new business.
International business leads KFintech’s growth
The standout line in the KFintech Q2 results was international investor solutions, where revenue jumped 157.9% year on year. Ascent Fund Services, the overseas fund administration business, grew 31.3% on its own. Assets under administration in the international business rose to US$51.9 billion from US$10.6 billion a year ago, and the company now serves 515 international clients.
Singapore, the United States and the Middle East remain the fastest-growing markets for Ascent. KFintech added 24 new funds in Singapore, 10 in the US and seven in the Middle East during the quarter, and won four new fund administration mandates in GIFT City, India’s international financial centre.
The domestic business held up well too. Overall average assets under management grew 15.1% against industry growth of 13.1%, taking KFintech’s market share to 33.1%. It won a new registrar and transfer agent deal from Ashika Group, added 437 new corporate clients in issuer solutions, and now serves 50.2% of NSE500 companies. New IPO mandates included Abakkus Asset Manager, Mahanadi Coalfields, JSW One, Goldi Solar and Muthoot FinCorp.
In alternatives and wealth, the company serves 785 alternate funds with a 37.2% market share, and assets under management there grew 12.9% to ₹20.3 trillion. Its National Pension System subscriber base grew 41.2% to 2.5 million.
Managing director and chief executive Sreekanth Nadella said: “Revenues grew 30% y-o-y, led by strong deal wins across segments and the growing scale of our international business.”
InPro takes KFintech’s anti-money laundering platform wider
Beyond the numbers, the quarter’s other big story is InPro, the intelligent anti-money laundering (AML) and compliance platform KFintech launched with the Association of Portfolio Managers in India (APMI) on 1 October 2026. The platform was launched by Tuhin Kanta Pandey, chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), at APMI’s annual conference in Mumbai, and APMI has adopted it as the central AML platform for its members.
InPro screens investor profiles against global sanctions lists, Indian debarment lists, politically exposed person databases, regulatory watchlists and adverse media, and it keeps monitoring them after onboarding rather than checking once. It also adds workflow-led case management and audit-ready records, which matter because AML rules now expect firms to show how they reached each compliance decision, not just that they checked a box.
KFintech now plans to take InPro beyond portfolio managers to the wider banking, insurance and non-banking financial sector over the next 24 to 36 months. The move would shift more of its revenue toward software and recurring compliance fees, which are steadier than transaction-linked income. Smaller firms get access to screening tools they could not afford to build alone, while KFintech gains a new, regulation-driven revenue line.
The same month brought a leadership change: Dinesh Khara took over as chairperson of the board on 1 October 2026, succeeding Vishwanathan Mavila Nair.
What the KFintech Q2 results mean for investors
The KFintech Q2 results leave investors with a clear trade-off. Growth is strong and broad-based, with international revenue now close to a fifth of the total and non-domestic mutual fund revenue at 42.1% of overall revenue. But profit growth is lagging revenue growth, and margins will stay under watch until the Ascent integration beds down.
Two other disclosures deserve attention. The company has set aside a provision of ₹93.02 million for potential claims by a former client over unauthorised share transfers from an escrow account in 2011 and 2020, involving 1,294,489 shares. It says it has returned the shares to the client’s escrow account on a “good faith and no fault” basis and intends to pursue the parties concerned once a settlement concludes.
KFintech also filed applications with the National Company Law Tribunal on 15 October 2026 to merge three wholly owned subsidiaries, WebileApps (India), Hexagram Fintech and WebileApps Technology Services, into the listed company. Shareholders had earlier approved a final dividend of ₹12 per share for FY2025-26.
