The Strategic Investments segment engages in operation of energy generation plants and grid facilities. The Other Activities segment provides metering, billing, and information technology services. It serves industrial, retail, private households, real estate, commercial, and business customers. The company was founded in 1974 and is based in Mannheim, Germany. MVV Energie AG operates as a subsidiary of MVV Verkehr AG.
